Adding a 365 Shared Mailbox - MacOS Outlook App

Unlike Outlook for Windows, shared mailboxes will not automatically appear in Outlook for Mac.

To add a Shared Mailbox in Outlook for Mac
  1. Open Outlook for Mac.
  2. Click on "File."
  3. Choose "Open," then click on "Shared Mailbox."



  4. Type the email address of the shared mailbox and click "Add."



  5. The system will verify if your account has permissions to add the mailbox. If successful, it will now appear within the left-side pane of Outlook. Ensure to click the arrow next to the mailbox name to expand the folder and view all subfolders such as 'Inbox,' 'Sent,' etc.
